Todd Baldridge

Founder and Visionary

Todd was born and raised by a single mother in Batavia, IA. He spent a lot of his time on his grandparents' farm, which happened to not have running water. This started a deep appreciation for having access to clean well water to drink and use. After high school graduation, Todd became a certified deep sea (1200' depth) construction diver and dove from 1988 to 1996 when a diving accident cut his career short. Through that time, Todd learned about gaseous compounds and how our bodies react to them in a biological manner. After the accident, Todd wanted to look for ways to improve lives through water treatment and purification processes. He remembered his grandparents' farm, and the ability to always have clean well water, and recognized globally that many people's drinking water access was through shallow puddles and polluted streams. He developed a hand-held, solar powered water disinfection and purification devise for use in developing countries. That led to the founding of "World Water Solutions", which is a charity devoted to providing clean drinking water, and has reached over 25 nations around the world. Read more on our blog.

Through these experiences Todd has been called on by many governments to help with disaster relief due to natural disasters in Haiti, Nepal, India and Myanmar, all while continuously searching for ways to improve domestic water situations here. With the coordination of engineer, Bob Venvertloh, advancements in dissolved oxygen were made, and exclusive licensing rights of industry leading enzymes allowed for the creation of BES Water Solutions.

Todd lives in West Branch, IA with his German Shepherd, Ace. Todd has three children, Cole, Owen and Alivia, and they fuel his passion for creating a brighter future for their legacy to come.
